Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LumiLens, an accessibility insights and directory platform operated by Livana Group Ltd (company number 16955382), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The service

LumiLens provides automated web accessibility scanning, AI-powered accessibility insights, and a community directory of scanned websites. The service analyses web pages for potential accessibility issues and generates personalised insights based on your assistive technology preferences.

Automated scanning identifies a subset of possible accessibility issues and does not constitute a full compliance audit or legal advice. Scores are automated estimates based on single-page scans against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria and may not reflect the complete accessibility state of a website.

Account terms

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Livana Group Ltd is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access to your account.
  • One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.

Scanning and insights

LumiLens scans publicly accessible web pages. By using the scanning feature, you acknowledge that:

  • Scans are performed on publicly accessible web pages using automated tools including browser-based rendering and AI analysis.
  • Scan results are estimates and may contain inaccuracies. They do not constitute professional accessibility audits or legal advice regarding compliance with accessibility regulations (EAA, ADA, or others).
  • Websites scanned through LumiLens may appear in our public directory alongside their accessibility scores and community reviews. Website owners may request removal by contacting us.
  • Scan quotas are determined by your plan. Exceeding your quota may result in requests being rejected until the next billing period.

Site directory

LumiLens maintains a public directory of websites that have been scanned. This directory displays automated accessibility scores and community reviews. By using LumiLens, you acknowledge that:

  • Scores displayed in the directory are automated estimates and may not reflect the current state of the website. Websites are regularly rescanned but scores may be outdated.
  • Livana Group Ltd does not endorse or make any representations about the websites listed in the directory beyond the automated scan data and user-submitted reviews.
  • Website owners may dispute their listing or request removal by contacting hello@livana.io. We will respond within 14 days.

Community reviews

LumiLens allows users to leave reviews about websites' accessibility. By submitting a review, you agree that:

  • Your review will be publicly visible alongside your display name and assistive technology profile.
  • Reviews must be based on genuine experience with the website. Fake, misleading, or defamatory reviews are prohibited.
  • Reviews must not contain personal information about individuals, hate speech, profanity, or content that violates applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines without prior notice.
  • You retain ownership of your review content but grant Livana Group Ltd a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your review as part of the LumiLens service.

Acceptable use

You agree to use LumiLens responsibly and lawfully. In particular:

  • Do not use LumiLens to harass, defame, or harm website owners or other users.
  • Do not use the service to bulk-scan competitors' websites for the purpose of publicly shaming or commercial advantage.
  • Do not attempt to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Do not use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service beyond normal browser usage.
  • Do not submit fake reviews or manipulate ratings.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Payment terms

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. All prices are displayed in GBP and are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@livana.io for refund requests.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date. After cancellation, your data is retained for 30 days before being permanently deleted. Community reviews you have submitted will remain visible unless you request their removal.

Service availability

We aim to keep LumiLens available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally take the service offline for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.

Intellectual property

LumiLens and all associated branding, code, and content are the intellectual property of Livana Group Ltd. Your scan insights are yours to use freely. Community reviews remain your intellectual property but are licensed to us as described above. You grant us a limited licence to process and store the data you submit solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • LumiLens is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that scan results or directory scores are complete, accurate, or sufficient for assessing legal compliance. Automated scanning is a tool, not a substitute for professional accessibility auditing or legal advice.
  • Community reviews represent the opinions of individual users and do not reflect the views of Livana Group Ltd.
  • Livana Group Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including reliance on directory scores or community reviews.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Livana Group Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, including but not limited to: submitting defamatory reviews, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
